Attention all you youngsters out there! It is still not too late to get letters off to Father Christmas. We have it on good authority, dearest Santa will accept letters for this year’s gift requests right up to Christmas Eve.
In the UK, the Royal Mail address to ensure your letter reaches Father Christmas and his elves is:
Father Christmas, Santa’s Grotto, Reindeerland, SAN TA1.
Remember kids that Father Christmas is a busy man, so don’t be too disappointed if you don’t hear back from him. The main thing is to let him and his elves know what you’d like for Christmas. Please remember Father Christmas doesn’t like greedy children so be careful how many things you put on your list.
Other countries have their own addresses for Father Christmas. It helps speed up the delivery process. They end up in a depot there and, rest assured, all end up in the same mailbag in Santa’s workshop.
In Canada, the postcode at the end of the address is funny because it reads: “H0 0H H0”. You get it? Ho Ho Ho!
Don’t forget, if you have a fireplace, there is always the old-fashioned way – and frankly these ways are sometimes best. Simply put the letter in front of the fire (or even in the fireplace if it isn’t burning away). When the north wind is ready, it will suck the letter up the chimney and send it on its way to Father Christmas. But be very careful near any fireplace and always get adult permission and help.
You can follow the progress of Father Christmas as he makes his deliveries across the globe on Christmas Eve. Visit www.noradsanta.org and you can track him and his magnificent reindeer on the home computer or tablet.
