Guy Pearce is to star as Ebenezer Scrooge in the new BBC One and FX adaptation of the timeless Charles Dickens classic “A Christmas Carol”. The three-part special will air over Christmas 2019.
The original take on the ¬†iconic ghost story comes courtesy of writer and executive producer Steven Knight, of “Peaky Blinders” success, and also features¬†Andy Serkis as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Stephen Graham as Jacob Marley, Charlotte Riley as Lottie, Joe Alwyn as Bob Cratchit and Rutger Hauer as the Ghost of Christmas Future. Directed by Nick Murphy, the three hour-long programmes will be shown on the BBC in the UK and FX in the US.
