An unreleased song written by George Michael will be heard in Paul Feig’s new festive film “Last Christmas”, the title of one of the late, great singer-songwriter’s biggest hits.

Director Feig explained that Michael was creating a new album when he died at Christmas 2016. One of those tracks, a six-minute song, is to be used at the end of the film, which stars Emilia Clarke, Henry Golding and Emma Thompson. Clarke’s character idolises Michael and his music accompanies her through her storyline. The film is released in cinemas later this year, but the first trailer is available to view online from today.
