Creators have confirmed that BBC comedy “Outnumbered” is set to return for a one-off Christmas special this year. Original cast members Tyger Drew-Honey, Daniel Roche and Ramona Marquez will reprise their roles as Pete and Sue’s children Jake, Ben and Karen, albeit grown-up kids nowadays. Drew-Honey is now aged 20, while Roche is 16 and Marquez 15. Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner will return as the parents. The last series of “Outnumbered” aired in 2014.
Sci-fi series “Doctor Who” has its now traditional Christmas special this December before returning for a full series next April. Mark Gatiss, a frequent writer for the popular BBC series, says this year’s festive special is some of head writer Steven Moffat’s best work yet.
“I think the Christmas special… which is the only one this year…I think is one of Steve’s best ever scripts, absolutely beautiful,” Gatiss told the audience at a Victoria & Albert Museum members’ talk recently. “It made me cry.”
SPREAD THE COST SAY TOYS R US
A new Toys R Us payment plan means that parents can get what they need now and spread the cost over the next three months. Take Time To Pay, as its named, will allow parents to choose their products from the range available in both Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores, reserve items to prevent out of stock issues on those toys which are at the top of everyone’s lists and then make payments over a maximum 12 weeks, knowing that products are waiting when ready to be picked up.
